Who will go to hell?
This is a difficult topic and not one I find easy to talk about. However it is something that we all have to come to terms with. This is especially true for anyone who calls themselves a Christian. Just to get you thinking, consider this...
Jesus spoke of a day of judgement where the righteous (made righteous by faith and through God's grace) will go into eternal life but the wicked will go into eternal punishment (Matthew 25).
But who exactly are the wicked? Who exactly will go to hell?
It's one thing to say that on judgement day, some people will go to hell, or that the wicked will go to hell, or that those who do not repent and put their trust in Jesus will go to hell ... its a whole lot more personal and difficult to deal with when you accept the reality that your husband or wife, your mother or father, your grandparents, your brother or sister, your children or grandchildren may go to hell!
According to the Bible, people you know now, may end up going to hell!
Some react to the teaching of the Bible on hell for this very reason: they cannot accept that God, if he is a God of love, would send their loved one to suffer eternally in the lake of fire.
And they reject what the Bible says on the basis of this alone.
Maybe you have struggled with this issue yourself. Many have.
The important thing to remember is that each person is personally accountable to God. This includes you. You will need to think through the Bible's message about heaven and hell, eternal life and eternal punishment, just like your loves ones will need to think this through. You will die one day, just like your loved ones will die one day. You will have your beliefs about life after death put to the final test, just like your loved ones will have their beliefs put to the test.
Knowing this, it is important that you get right with God yourself first. And secondly, if you have experienced the mercy of God towards you as a sinner, then with compassion in your heart for your loved ones, tell them the truth about hell and give them the opportunity to receive the forgiveness of God offers freely through Jesus and his death for sinners.
Here's a couple of verses from the Bible to think about:
"The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23)
"But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, that they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. And have mercy on some, who are doubting; save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh. If you are a Christian, you have a responsibility to learn how to present the gospel truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. If you profess to be a Christian, this does not just mean putting your trust in Jesus and what he has done for you on the cross, but also in his word - this includes his words about hell as the destiny of the damnend. Jesus said, "Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels (Mark 8:38)."

Watching Someone Die!
Watching someone die is a very sobering experience. I recall two occasions where I watched someone die. One of the people who died was a Christian, one was not. One died with hope after death, one did not. However, when each of these two people died, both sets of grieving relatives spoke of how they believed their loved one's suffering would then be over.
You've most likely heard the phrase, "He's at peace now." or, "His suffering is over." However, according to the Bible, after some people die they will be cast into hell to begin an eternity of suffering and pain the likes of which no one still on earth has yet to experience.
The Bible says that some will be raised to eternal life with God in heaven while others will be raised to everlasting destruction and torment in hell.
So.....if you were to die tonight, where would you go? The Bible says...
The righteous will be welcomed into "eternal life" (Matthew 25:46).
The wicked will be cast into "everlasting fire" (Matthew 25:41).
The Bible also says that it should come as no surprise that a Holy God will punish evil and reward good. Listen to what Jesus says...
Do not marvel at this, for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth, those who have done good to the resurrection of life , and those who have practiced evil to the resurrection of condemnation (John's 5:28-29).
The Bible says we will all be resurrected after death! To "eternal life" or "everlasting fire".
But the 1 million dollar question is: "Are you a good person, good enough for heaven?" Will YOU be raised to the resurrection of life...... or will YOU be raised to the resurrection of condemnation?
You need to find out now , in this life, because it will be too late after you die. There will be no second chance. There will be no pleading with your creator then. The Bible says "It is appointed unto man once to die, but after this the judgement" (Hebrews 9:27).
One of the people I watched die had repented and put their faith in Jesus Christ and his death as payment for their sin. The other person (so far as I know) did not. According to the Bible, one will be at peace the other will not!
Since you will die one day, it is vitally important that you give serious thought to the question of "Is Hell Real" becasue if it is and if you go there, you will not be at peace, no matter what they say at your funeral!

Is Hell Real?
I have put this site together because I want you to think about what happens when you die. One thing I'm sure we can all agree on is that when you die, you will find out if your beliefs about life after death, heaven and hell were true!
Its a sobering thought - you don't want to be wrong if you've rejected the reality of hell and find you're not a good person in God's sight. Hell will very quickly become a real experience for you - forever!
If you believe that death is the end, then guess what? The moment you die, you will find out if you're right about there being no life after death! If you believe in reincarnation after death, then guess what? When you die, you will find out if it's true. If you believe everyone except really bad people like murderers go to heaven, then guess what? Yep, you're onto it: the moment you die, you will find out!
The site urges you to take time in this life to find out about what happens when you die. And because the Bible is the most popular book in the world and more are sold than any other book, then it is sensible to find out what it has to say about life after death.
So, is hell real? My advice to you is, check it out before you check out!
In Christ's love, Dave
PS. A lot of people just don't want to think about it. But you have to.
Why?
FACT: One day, you will die!
If hell is real and if God judges you by his standards, will you go to heaven or hell?
