PLEASE NOTE THIS

The Bible says, fear has to do with torment and punishment BUT God's perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:17-18). Hold on to that as you read on and discover more about hell fire and why you should fear God who alone has authority to cast you into hell.

Is Hell real?  Everything in the Bible says it is.  Because you will die one day, you need to check this out now.  Please read on and discover the truth about hell.  This is not something you can afford to be wrong about.  Especially if you're already on a highway to hell!

Please read on to find out more about hell...

"And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched"  (Mark 9:45)

Hell Fire - Could it be symbolic?

Imagine for a moment that the "fire" of hell is just symbolic.  If this were true, then please understand that a symbol is merely "smybolic" of a greater reality.  This would mean that the greater reality which fire then symbolised, must be much more fearful than the symbol of souls burning forever in an lake of fire!

Can you see then that there is no relief in believing that the "fire" of hell is just a symbol for God's wrath against unrepentant sinners.  If it is just a symbol, then you have something much worse to endure.  The fact is that even if the fire of hell were not real, hell is still to be avoided at all costs.  Just take a moment to read this web page and see what hell has in store for you if you go to hell.

Please also realise that ultiimately it is not hell you need to fear!

It's not hell fire you should fear!

Jesus said, "Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.  But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him" (Luke 12:4-5).  Only God can throw you into hell and only God can save you from hell.

The Bible says God is a "consuming fire" and "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God" (Hebrews 10:29-31).   That's why Jesus first disciples said, "knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men" (2 Corinthians 5:11).  Yes, we are trying to persuade you.  Can you see why?  God is Holy and he has set aside a day when he will judge all people's with righteousness and truth.  It will be God's day of justice.

A Place of "Fire"

In a story Jesus tells, the man who is carried away into hell cries: ". . .I am tormented in this FLAME."  Luke 16:24

Jesus says: "And shall cast them into a FURNACE OF FIRE: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 13:42

Jesus says: "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting EVERLASTING FIRE, prepared for the devil and his angels: . . ." [Note: hell was never originally prepared for people.  However, because we have broken God's laws, God's justice now demands it.]   Matthew 25:41

Revelation 20:15 says, " And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the LAKE OF FIRE.

Jesus says in Matthew 5:22 "But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of HELL FIRE.

Jesus says in Matthew 18:8 Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast [them] from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into EVERLASTING FIRE.

Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of ETERNAL FIRE.

Revelation 14:10 says: "and he shall be tormented with FIRE and BRIMSTONE in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:"

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the LAKE which burneth with FIRE and BRMISTONE: which is the second death.

The Bible quotes above are just examples.    This is more than enough to make it clear that when God says hell fire he means FIRE.  And the two main things we learn is that hell fire involves unimaginable torment or suffering and that hell fire fire is eternal or everlasting.

So even if hell fire is just symbolic, the unbearable suffering and torment it portrays should be enough to "scare the hell out of you!"  And the fact that God has the authority to throw you into hell fire to be tormented forever, should give you cause to fear God  - God who can not only damn you to hell but save you from hell.

How can a loving God send people to suffer torment in eternal hell fire?

A Man Who Went to Hell - and Stayed There!

The Bible continually warns of a place called hell. There are over 162 references in the New Testament alone which warn of hell. And over 70 of these references were uttered by the Lord Jesus Christ!

Jesus warned people about hell when he told them about two men: a rich man and a man called Lazarus.  This is the story as found in Luke chapter 16, verses 22-28.  We pick the story up half way through.

"...the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham [a man spoken of in the Bible well known for his love of God] afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.  And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.  But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.  And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot [all hope is removed of getting out]; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.  Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this PLACE of torment."  (The emphasis in this quote is that of the webmaster).

A Place of Torments!

Consider Jesus words about a man who went to hell (from Luke chapter 16 in the Bible)

23 "And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in TORMENTS. . . "

24 ". . . for I am TORMENTED in this FLAME."

28 ". . .PLACE OF TORMENT."

The suffering in Hell will be beyond anything humanly imaginable!

.  Hell is a real place where the damned will experience...

weeping (Matthew 8:12),

wailing (Matthew 13:42),

gnashing of teeth (Matthew 13:50),

darkness (Matthew 25:30),

flames (Luke 16:24),

burning (Isaiah 33:14),

torments (Luke 16:23),

everlasting punishment (Matthew 25:46)!

Jesus says in Matthew 25:41, "Depart from me, ye cursed, into EVERLASTING FIRE, prepared for the devil and his angels."

DO NOT GO TO HELL!!

Eternal Hell - for ever and ever!

.  There will be no "HOPE" in hell  -  ever!

Have you heard the saying, "Not a hope in hell".  Its true.  If you go there, it won't be for the weekend; there will be NO HOPE of escape!  Ever!!!  Consider the many ways the Bible speaks about the eternity of hell.

". . . Depart from me, ye cursed, into EVERLASTING fire, . . ."  The words of Jesus in Matthew 25:41.

"The smoke of their TORMENT ascendeth up for EVER AND EVER: and they have NO REST DAY NOR NIGHT."  From words spoken by Jesus in a vision of end time events in Revelation 14:11.

.  Consider other examples of how the Bible warns that HELL is ETERNAL!

everlasting fire - Matthew18:8, 25:41
everlasting punishment - Matthew 25:46
everlasting chains - Jude 1:6
everlasting destruction - 2 Thessalonians 1:9
eternal damnation - Mark 3:29
eternal judgment - Hebrews 6:2
eternal fire - Jude 1:7
unquenchable fire - Matthew 3:12
the fire that never shall be quenched - Mark 9:43, 44, 45, 46, 48
fire unquenchable - Luke 3:17
shame and everlasting contempt - Daniel 12:2
mist of darkness is reserved for ever - 2 Peter 2:17
the blackness of darkness for ever - Jude 1:13

Please think about this.  If God was a spiteful God and wanted you to go there, why would he put so many warnings in the Bible to tell you to avoid hell at all costs?  And why would he go to all costs to keep you out?

.  In the whole of the Bible, there is not one verse that offers hope for anyone who enters hell.

The rich man in Luke 16 never even asked to get out - only that his family might be warned not to come there.  He knew there was not way out.

HELL IS FOREVER AND EVER!

Your life will end in a heart beat.  The next one could be your last.

What could possibly be worth eternity in hell?

No wonder Jesus warned people so much about hell! No wonder Jesus said in Mark 8:36...

For what shall it profit a man,
if he shall gain the whole world,
and LOSE HIS OWN SOUL?

In light of these words from Jesus, you have to ask yourself:

What can be more important then, than my eternal salvation?

.  Please, take these warnings seriously.

May the Lord Jesus open your eyes to see that YOUR SOUL is in danger of ETERNAL Hell.  Your sin offends God and you hang by a spiders thread over the flames of eternal damnation.  If you have not done so, do the GOOD PERSON TEST now and consider how God sees your sin.  Click HERE to do the test.

.  But its not fair!

Maybe you think God is unjust in creating such a terrible punishment for sinners - many do.  And it is terrible.  Maybe you think that you deserve less for just a few lies and the occasional cheating, and lusting and greed and spiteful anger, and ignoring God and what he has done for you all your life.  If you do, you are probably like a majority of people on the planet.

But please, take a moment to consider these 4 things.

1.  As sinners who have broken God's moral laws and offended him, we are in no position to tell God, who is Holy, how to punish sinners for breaking his laws!

2.  Despite our willful sin and rebellion against our creator, God himself has paid the debt for all sin by the death of Jesus (God in the flesh) on a cross.  If anything is unfair, that's unfair.  We did the crime but God paid the fine!

3.  Hell is a choice!  Your sins have been paid for, if you choose to ignore such a great gift from God (there is no greater gift) then you have chosen to go to hell. You have no one to blame but yourself.  Why would you want to turn down such amazing love.

4.  If you would humble yourself, repent (change your attitude to the things God calls sin, and therefore you behaviour) and believe the good news (put your trust in Jesus who died for your sin) then not only will God save you from hell, the day you die, he will welcome you into heaven to share the glory and pleasures of heaven forever.

How can this be said to be unfair?

God loves you.  More than you really know.  He went to extreme lengths to save your from the just penalty for your sin.

So, ultimately, Hell is a choice.  Hell is your choice.  So is heaven.

What will you choose?

On the day of judgement, God will reinforce the choice you have made on earth.

How could a loving God send you to hell?

What Jesus said about Hell

Jesus spoke much on hell.... more than he did on heaven

Jesus says in Mark 9:43-47,

"And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:  and if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire"

Jesus took hell very seriously - He said that if your hand, foot or eye caused you to sin and offend God, remove them, if that would keep you out of hell!  NOTE: Jesus was making a point about the seriousness of sin and not suggesting that we actually do these things.  One reason for this is that if we followed Jesus advice to the letter, we would have to remove our brains for all their evil thoughts.  Jesus was not asking us to kill ourselves and therefore break the 6th commandment which says, "Thou shalt not kill".  You see, Hell is such a place of torment that if you could avoid going there by your own human efforts (which you cannot), you should be willing to take such drastic actions as removing a hand or eye.  In short, don't go there.  Why?  Read on and see...

.  CONSIDER THE FEARFUL PICTURE JESUS PAINTED OF HELL!

There is nothing in Jesus' words to suggest that hell is not a real place - quite the opposite:

This then is how Jesus spoke of hell.  Jesus said that...

hell and fire go together as "hell fire" Matt 5:22, 18:9, Mark 9:47
hell is a place of "fire" Matt 7:19, 13:40, 25:41
hell is the "furnace of fire" Matt 13:42, 50

hell is "the fire that never shall be quenched" Mark 9:43, 45
hell is the place where "the fire is not quenched" Mark 9:44, 46, 48
hell is a place of "everlasting fire" Matt 18:8, 25:41

hell is "damnation" Matt 23:14, Mark 12:40, Luke 20:47
hell is the "damnation of hell" Matt 23:33
hell is the place of "eternal damnation" Mark 3:29
hell is the "resurrection of damnation" John 5:29

in hell "their worm dieth not" Mark 9:44, 46, 48

in hell there will be "wailing and gnashing of teeth" Matt 13:42, 50
in hell there will be "weeping and gnashing of teeth" Matt 8:12, 22:13, 25:30

hell is a "place of torment" Luke 16:28
hell will have various "torments" Luke 16:23 (note that "torments" is in the plural)
hell is the place where the damned will be "tormented in this flame" Luke 16:24

hell is a place of "outer darkness" Matt 8:12, 22:13

hell will be "everlasting punishment" Matt 25:46

Why would you want to risk spending eternity in hell?   Hell will not be a party.  If you go to hell, you will not party in hell with your mates.  You won't have any mates in hell because hell will be a place with no love.  In hell you will have no one to love and no one to love you.  Can you imagine that.  You should try to!

You have been warned about hell!

In the Bible, a loving God has warned you about hell because he wants nothing more than to spend eternity with you in heaven.  That's why Jesus spoke so often of hell, to warn you that it is real so you will not to go there.  But Jesus didn't just warn people about hell, he told them why they were in danger of it and he did something amzing to save people  from hell.  Jesus wanted so much to save you from hell, that he was prepared to pay a great price for your sin and rebellion against God by his death on a cross.   You did the crime but he paid the fine.

However, while you don't have to go to hell you could still, at this very moment, be in danger of going to hell.

You need to ask...

Am I a good person - in the eyes of a Holy God?

Am I innocent or guilty - in the eyes of a Holy God?

Will I be welcomed into heaven or cast into eternal hell by God who alone is Holy?

If you are not 100% sure that you will go to heaven when you die,

please, do the "GOOD PERSON TEST"  Discover once and for all, if you are in danger, why you are in danger and how you can escape.

You cannot afford to be wrong because eternity is the wrong thing to be wrong about.  Please, make sure that if you were to die tonight, you would go to heaven.  Not only have you been warned but God has provided you with a way out.  You will be without excuse on the day of judgement!  Please, take this moment in your life to think about and understand what God has done for you to save you from damnation to eternal hell.

What about Annihilation?

.  If annihilation were true...

If hell was a place where you were destroyed and then ceased to exist (ie. you are annihilated - totally destroyed), then that means people like Hitler would suffer no eternal consequences for their crimes.  It means that we may as well all "eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die" and ceast to exist.  Surely non-existence cannot be seen as punishment.  If you don't exist, there are no regrets, no suffering, nothing.  You could do what you like in this life with no need to fear God's wrath in an eternal hell of suffering becasue on the day of judgement, you would cease to exist - that's if hell was not real, eternal torment.  You think the world is a mess now.  Imagine what it would be like if there was no conscience - none at all - in the heart of any man, woman or child.  Imagine if there was no healthy fear of eternal consequences in hell holding people back.  If death is the end and there is not hell as described above then good and evil are only what YOU want them to be; everyone would be a law unto themselves and this planet would not last five seconds!

Apart from these things, everything we have considered above about  hell tells us very clearly that it is a place of torment, it is forever and there is no hope gettng out if you go there.

The idea hell is annihilation and that death is the end, fits very well with evolutionists who teach that your meaningless existence is just the result of random atoms bumping together.  We all came from a big bang they say; a cosmic accident that sparked life in the universe.  If this were true, that means you are just a meaningless accident - even your thoughts are meaningless because they too are just the result of random atoms bumping together.  If you say you've found meaning and purpose in life, then you are deluded because that belief in itself is just the result of random atoms banging together.

In the end, death is just the end to a meaningless existence.  That is if you follow evolutionary theory through to its meaningless conclusion.

.  However, your life is NOT meaningless.  YOU were created for a purpose.

And that is the reason for hell.  Hell is the final result of rejecting the purpose for which we were created.  The purpose for which we were created is to have a relationship with God.  Click Here and take the Good Person Test now and see if you are guilty or innocent of breaking that relationship.  And if you are guilty, discover how you can start again with God today.  Yes, if you need to, you can get right with God today!  You can do this where you are, sitting in front of your computer.  If you discover for yourself that you are guilty and deserving of hell, right now you can have your sins forgiven, be born again into God's family and have eternal life.  God does not want you to go to hell.  Don't put this off.  Please, do it now.

Don't go to hell!

Instead,

"Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man's all. For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil."

(Ecclesiastes 12:13-14)

Becasue God,

"will render to each one according to his deeds:" eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness - indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil."

(Romans 2:6-9; see also Acts 17:30)
